Sogen, 6 yo, Kakamigahara, Gifu.
On March, 22, 1994, Sogen was born In a temple In Gifu Prefecture called Torin-ji.
He was the firstborn son to the Yamamoto family. When he was 3 years old, he loved Ultraman and drawing kabutomushi.
Jemimah, 4 yo, Tondo, Manila.
Three months later, Jemimah was born on May 12, 1994.
The same day Sogen’s parents celebrated their first wedding anniversary.
At three, Jemimah was obsessed with bunnies and was scared of dogs.

In March, 2024, Sogen and Jemimah met
and meditated for the first time at the temple.
Sogen moved to LA in 2022 to be an Assistant Director at a temple in West Adams neighborhood. The same neighborhood Jemimah moved into the year prior.
In Dec 2023, Jemimah read Zen Mind, Beginner’s Mind for the first time and decided that by the next year, they would look for a temple nearby to start meditating.
By March, Sogen and Jemimah met for the first time. They meditated for the first two months and by May, they fell in love.
The first time they hung out outside of the temple was May, 27, 2024.
Their first kiss was on the first day they hung out.
They never stopped ever since.
